I am wanting to create a quilt with the Sew-in inkjet fabric sheets & was wanting to know if anyone has any tips on preserving the ink & fabric so it doesn't wash out years later or months?

"I am wanting to create a quilt with the Sew-in inkjet fabric sheets & was wanting to know if anyone has any tips on preserving the ink & fabric so it doesn't wash out years later or months?" Good question. Lisa here. I have made several t shirts, quilts &night gowns. All of them I would say "Don't get it dirty" You can't wash it without wrecking it. I finally gave up. I loved that kind of computer work but always have ended not happy. Please share any hints you have received. TY Lisa

Hi! I just completed my first album using HP digital and am excited to receive the final product. My question is if I am able to use new layout/kits that I have downloaded from the internet into the HP program and if so how do I do this? Thanks much for any help! Stacey

Hi Stacey! I used HPCSA exclusively for several years, but was finally able to afford Adobe Photoshop. You can import and use backgrounds, clipart, images, etc. by clicking on the GET OTHER CONTENT button first, and bring in other files, etc. Click on the item to bring it to your page. While the item is still in the edit mode, click on the SAVE ITEM button. A drop down menu will ask what you are saving - image, background, clipart, etc. Select the type of item, making sure you save it in the right project. You're done. You can pull that item into other projects after that as well. I have a project called CLIPART, one called BACKGROUNDS, one called IMAGES. I hope this helps. Robin

most iron on transfers are pretty durable - they are meant to withstand wash after wash (as some of my old shirts can attest to) but if you are looking to waterproof the pillow there is an iron on product available in fabric stores. it is meant for use in raincoats and placemats but would work on a pillow as well. you would apply it before sewing the pillow together and just use a heavyweight needle. i am not sure of the product name but if you ask in any big fabric stores (home dec or apparel) they should know what you are talking about. we use it a lot in crafts to make tote bags with.... hope this helped...good luck!

Has anyone ever used a color ink jet photo in decoupage? If so, did you have to seal the photo in some way first to prevent bleeding of the colors?

Thank you so much for the suggestion. I am using the photos on a wooden tray that I'm doing a combination of paint, collage and decoupage on, so the photos will be on top with the decoupage medium on top of them instead of on the bottom of something like a plate. I'll try your suggestion.

I did a similar project a few weeks ago. I used all old family weddin photos: mine, my parents, my brothers and sisters, my husband's brother. Photoshopped each into sepia tones, then put them into a collage frame. Wonderful outcome. I have received many very positive comments on it.

Please Help! For years I used HP banner paper when I created and printed banners on an HP all-in-one machine. Now, I am in a new office with an iMac and a Canon MP610 Pixma, all-in-one. I still want to use the great HP banner paper, but need to locate software for creating the banners AND instructions on how to print them. I have posted at Apple.com, but have had no luck yet. if you are familiar with banner-creation and printing using a mac, PLEASE let me know ! I am being asked to make banners like I used to, but no longer have the hardware and software ! Thanks in advance.

Well I finally got around to showing you my creations. I went a little crazy. I made a big poster of 30 pictures fro my mom and step dad and also a calender. I'm supposed to be sending them to Florida for mother and Fathers day, I'm either a little late or a little early, so I think that evens it out, right? Then I made smaller posters containing 20 pictures for me and one of my sisters. She got one, because she sat there with me while I created these masterpieces. It was so fun and easy. All I had to do was copy some of my favorite pictures onto a disk and then insert them into the kiosk. I picked the pictures I liked and it put them all together for me..It was so neat and easy!

I purchased this unit 2 years ago and it was the biggest mistake of my life. Every time I try to use this unit there is always a problem of one kind or another. Now I've went through the entire help scenerio and can-not obtain a solution to the problem. The unit will-not feed the paper although it appears to go through the steps and there is no error report regarding the paper feed. ANY IDEAS?

@pipsqueakers -- I'm sorry you're experiencing such issues. Although our Wiki isn't an HP support site, I want to help you find a solution. I researched what I could re: Deskjet 460 WBT "lights cycling" on the HP Customer Care website, and here's what I found: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00261102&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=466211#
The HP Customer Care website aggregates reported problems and solutions to help you quickly find a fix. Please try this link for the Deskjet 460 WBT: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/solveCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=466211
I'd like to suggest a visit to the main HP Customer Care page, where you can search for help and drivers by product -- and you can log an official request for help and have your case resolved more quickly and securely: http://www.hp.com/go/support
Thanks for reaching out. I hope we can resolve these issues for you.

I've recently purhased the Photosmart C5280. Generally I'm very happy with the quality, but ma having problems with the Printing Shortcuts page.
I'm creating 10x15 images in Photoshop and am using HP 10x15 (with tab) Premium Photo Paper.
I've tried countless combinations of settings in the Printing Shorcuts but still haven't found a way to print without either having the image cropped or run over the sides.
Any ideas on the perfect setting? These test prints are costing me a fortune in ink and paper.

Hi Zorilla and Altaa,
Sometimes in the printer dialog box, I've seen 2 boxes one below the other that both state borderless printing. If this is the case, you need to check them both. Kind of ridiculous, but it makes a difference. Let me know if that works for you.
